Clare’s Sugar Dog VALENCIA is one of those very gifted service animals that alerted spontaneously and her alerts were recognized by her human, a (now retired) registered nurse (RN).

Clare doesn’t know this but Paula has black and white tile in her house too. Is it a coincidence? There’s also black and white marble in Siena Cathedral, Westminster Cathedral (Kilkenny black fossilized marble with French rouge griotte – called “partridge eyed” due to pearly-white spots on peachy-pink marble), Amiens Cathedral (Northern France), Milan Cathedral, Antwerp Cathedral, and many, many more. In France in particular, many of the cathedral labyrinths are black and white marble tiles.
Paula says the black and white tiles remind her that every moment is a choice. Breathe in and breathe out. SO HUM. Meditate. Breathe in and breathe out. SO HUM. (“So Hum” is a meditation taught by The Chopra Center for Well Being, used as a mantra “Hum So” is ‘I AM’ in ancient Sanskrit, affirming with our breath, our place on the planet for this moment, this breath in safety, peace and gratitude.)

Valencia is a Rock Star Sugar Dog, certified as a diabetic alert dog & much, much more. She and her human partner Clare are inseparable. Wouldn’t it be great to see them in a hospital near you?
